Can "Copy as Image" put an image on the clipboard rather than download?

Copy as Image might be a useful bit of functionality for quickly sharing parts of a map with colleagues or pasting into a .pptx (which is what I'm trying to use it for). However it's not that convenient as it actually downloads a .png file with an unusual name which I then need to embed - not so convenient. Then once the .png is embedded for some reason it doesn't look as clear as on the web-page. Please consider making this a bit more of a seamless operation.

Hi @scase,

make sure that when you embed the image in a document it it shown as 100% and that it is not scaled. I don't see a way how we can make this function easier, copy/paste between a browser and, for example powerpoint, is not possible due to security restrictions.

Fair enough. It's hard to ensure it's always at 100% when sharing eg. via a powerpoint slidedeck, as these get scaled to the projector full screen resolution. What about exporting to a vector format?

@scase,

well pdf is a vector format, but I don't know if you can embed a pdf in a powerpoint file. Another trick is to export the map to an png image in a bigger size than shown, in that way it will still be shown sharp if it is scaled down in powerpoint. That's why we give you the option to specify the image width when you export it to a png.

@scase,

I've added the option to export to an EMF (vector format) file, can you try it out?

Just tried it out - it works great! The maps look really good now in powerpoint. I tried it from the map info screen - couldn't see it in the editor yet. Thanks for being so responsive!

EMF export is now also available in the editor.
